Champagne Sundays are available throughout the season by appointment, at either 10:00 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. Simply contact us to book your private 3-hour appointment. A reservation fee, starting at $100 and is required to hold the appointment. However if you find the “one”, we’ll thank you with a 10% discount on everything you purchase during the appointment. The Wedding Embassy is proud to offer gown cleaning and preservation services from Orange Restoration, located right here in Orange, CT! After your wedding, simply drop off your gown and we’ll send it off to Orange to be expertly clean and preserved. Their attention to detail, hand cleaning techniques, and quick, local service insures that your off-the-rack or recently worn gown looks just as beautiful as the day you first met! comprehensive tuxedo selection
WE offer a huge array of tuxedo styles and colors that you can coordinate to create the perfect wedding ensemble. To make the rental process a bit easier we offer complimentary Tuxedo Try-ons. Available July – March, a Tuxedo Try-On is the best way to ensure we’ve put together the perfect rental package. Simply select your styles and we’ll order a Try-On, in the correct size, for the groom or any member of your party. You can choose from our entire selection of jackets, vests, and ties. Use your Try-On to select your favorite vest and tie combo, guarantee the perfect fit on your Ring bearer, or compare suits to tuxedos. At The Wedding Embassy, we want to help you make confident decisions, whether it be your bridal gown purchase or tuxedo rental.
Meet with a WE seamstress to have your gown fit to a T
We offer alteration services with several skilled seamstresses. During wedding season we provide alterations services by appointment only; Wedding Embassy customers receive priority when scheduling. If you’ve purchased a gown from another location and we are unable to accommodate you with an appointment, we will happily provide you with contact information for other available seamstresses.
Each WE seamstresses is available by appointment on a designated day. To schedule your fitting appointment please review our schedule below and then call 860-274-1988 or email. Please include your requested day and time, as well as name, preferred form of contact, and wedding/wear date.
Tuesday & Thursday between 2:00 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Seamstress schedules are subject to change without notice and may fluctuate due to scheduling conflicts and demands. Always call to schedule an appointment, we cannot accommodate walk-ins.
For gowns purchased at the Wedding Embassy we offer capped alteration pricing. The cap represents the maximum alteration charge for gowns purchased through the Wedding Embassy. The 2014 capped prices apply to all regular alterations, i.e. alterations that are necessary to make the gown fit perfectly. The cap does not cover any of the following: custom design changes, significantly beaded garments, or maternity alterations.
It is always our intention to select a gown size that provides the best initial fit and requires the least amount of alteration, however some alteration will be needed to make your gown fit perfectly. Keep in mind Junior Bridesmaids and Flower Girl gowns usually need as much, if not more, alteration than an adult bridesmaids dress.
2017 Bridesmaids Cap: $85
2017 Mother-of-the-Occasion Cap: $175
2017 Bridal Cap: $400, $500 or $600 depending on gown style
Custom Bridal Gown Design
If you’ve been dreaming of your gown since you were a little girl and can’t find it in a bridal shop, it may be time to consider custom design. Each year the Wedding Embassy works with a select number of brides to create the gown of their dreams! To begin the process you’ll work with Megan and our skilled seamstresses to refine the design, fit, and fabrication of your ideal gown. Custom creations require a significant amount of time and attention; we require a 6 month lead time so that we can properly design, source, and construct your bridal gown. Whether it’s a vintage gown you’ve picked up at a boutique or a family heirloom neglected for decades, the Wedding Embassy can breathe new life into your vintage gown. We work closely with Orange Restoration and our experienced seamstresses to help restore your pre-loved gown. Each vintage gown is unique and each alteration experience is different, we cannot quote alteration and/or restoration prices without meeting with you and your dress.
